A night at the opera is an elegant event, deserving of a remarkable culinary experience. Our gorgeous setting located on the lower level of the War Memorial Opera House offers an ideal environment for pre-performance dining and intermission.

This September, step into the world of Rigoletto as the Prelude Restaurant transforms into the Duke’s Feast – the lavish banquet where Mantua’s notorious Duke revels with his court and Rigoletto jests for their entertainment. In celebration of this operatic masterpiece, a sumptuous buffet inspired by Italian flavors will be served throughout the month at performances of both Rigoletto and Dead Man Walking. Explore the menus and make your reservation at the buttons below and enjoy a taste of Italy at the Opera.

Later this fall, the Prelude Restaurant will offer the Harmony Feast prix fixe meal package at all performances of Parsifal. Check back for menus and reservation details!

Champagne Bar
Grand Tier Level (South)

Elevate your night at the Opera with a visit to our new Champagne Bar, offering a variety of bubbles, plus a a specialty cocktail and decadent bites. Grab a glass and enjoy it on the outdoor Loggia with a stunning view of City Hall.

At Rigoletto performances, savor the Jester’s Spritz (Limoncello, Prosecco, Club Soda, Fresh Mint) or try the Duke’s Deception (Chianti, Blood Orange, Brandy, Fresh Citrus, Basil). A classic Mint Julep (Bourbon, Fresh Mint, Sugar, Crushed Ice) will be on offer at Dead Man Walking performances.
