Beethoven 5 & Falla

Overview

1 hour 33 minutes with one intermission

Following last season's sold out concert of Beethoven 9, Eun Sun Kim returns to conduct the San Francisco Opera Orchestra onstage with Beethoven's glorious, fate-propelled Fifth Symphony, acclaimed by E.M. Forster as "the most sublime noise that has ever penetrated into the human ear." The concert also features Spanish composer Manuel de Falla's evocative Seven Popular Songs (Siete Canciones Populares Españolas), featuring beloved San Francisco Opera artist, Daniela Mack, who recently portrayed Frida Kahlo, and his fiery The Three-Cornered Hat (El Sombrero de Tres Picos). One night only!
