The Department of Engagement and Connectivity is excited to continue our partnership with San Francisco Public Library in presenting Page to Stage: a  Dead Man Walking Book Club. Join us this September as we explore this haunting story and engage in deep and impactful discussions revolving around Sister Helen Prejean’s groundbreaking and thought-provoking memoir, its timely themes, and the production brought to stage by San Francisco Opera.

Book Club participants will receive a free copy of Sister Helen’s Dean Man Walking and an invitation to attend the final dress rehearsal of the opera by composer Jake Heggie and librettist Terrence McNally.
