Phillip Palmore

French Horn

Originally from Hilo, Hawai'i, Phillip Palmore joined the San Francisco Opera Orchestra as 4th French Horn in 2025. He also holds a position with the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, which he joined two years prior to becoming a member of the San Francisco Opera Orchestra. Other professional ensembles he has performed with, include the San Francisco Symphony, Colorado Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, Sarasota Orchestra, and the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra. Additionally, he has attended various music festivals, such as the Music Academy of the West, the Aspen Music Festival, and the Sarasota Music Festival.

Phillip holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Music degree from the Juilliard School. He is thankful to his primary instructors, Elizabeth Freimuth, Randy Gardner, Denise Tyron, Julie Landsman, and Michael Thorton for all their help and guidance.
