Campbell, Janet
Mezzo-soprano Janet Campbell has received accolades for her operatic and concert performances throughout the United States, Europe and Japan. She has starred in many operatic roles including Cenerentola (La Cenerentola), Cherubino (Nozze di Figaro), Dorabella (Cosi fan tutte), Zerlina (don Giovanni), Komponist (Ariadne auf Naxos), Orlofski, (Die Fledermaus), Siebel (Faust), Fidalma (Il matrimonio segreto), Berta (Il barbiere di Seviglia). Frequently found on the concert stage, she regularly performs great Oratorio and Concert repertoire with Orchestras and Choral Organizations.
Ms. Campbell wears and has worn many musical hats including music director, stage director, University Professor, High School Teacher, Choral Director, jazz pianist, vocal instructor, piano accompanist, Arts Administrator and Arts Manager. She currently has a large studio of private voice students, and is on the staff the Young Women’s Choral Projects as a vocal instructor. She joined the San Francisco Opera chorus in 2009 and is a tenured member of the Regular Chorus.
